SAP training books are essential because the SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is a solution of choice for many businesses. The SAP ERP solution’s concept of using an integrated database for the whole company makes it very powerful in assisting the managers with crucial decisions. Jobs with SAP requirements are therefore increasing in number, and a SAP ebook can provide you with the proper knowledge that could prove to be a crucial factor when your boss is deciding on who to promote, or when a potential employer is weighing the qualifications of each applicant for a job. It is only natural that the knowledge offered by SAP training books will be considered vital because SAP ERP is used by different departments, such as finance, accounting, production, human resources, and sales.

Let us examine the importance of the SAP ERP solution to understand why sap training books are needed in today’s job market. First of all, SAP makes it easier for managers to adjust their decisions based on market trends. To demonstrate, today’s market situation may necessitate a change in strategies regarding portfolio management. Because the SAP ERP Corporate Services module is focused on portfolio management, travel management, enterprise asset management and real estate management, among others, it can help the executives adjust their policies when it comes to portfolio management. Therefore, SAP Training books ensure that the managers are knowledgeable about the application of SAP solutions in such scenarios.

Another advantage of the SAP ERP system that also makes SAP training books important is the fact that it integrates all the previously separate information systems of each department into one. Previously, the different business departments would have difficulties in making decisions based on events in other departments. However, with the SAP solution, any modification in the information for a particular business section may initiate a series of amendments in the various departments. One example could be a sales department obtaining a new order for a certain product. By entering the data into the SAP system, the data for finance, accounting, production, and human resources will also be modified to take into account any changes in the requirements for labor and materials. Thus, decision-making could be done in real time as the situation requires, whenever a company uses the SAP ERP solution. This example shows why SAP training books are important – it ensures that executives and other employees will know how to properly use the system and its abilities to the greatest extent.

A surprising number of people who plan to take a SAP Certification course don’t know that SAP means “Systems, Applications, Products in Data Processing.” This name comes from the German company established in 1972 that is located near the picturesque town of Hiedelburg. Five engineers who had previously worked for IBM started this company, whose full name in German is “Systeme, Andwendungen, Produkte in der Datenverarbeitung” (hence the initials).

Invariably, those who are planning to start SAP get confused. There are so many modules to choose from that they have problems gauging which modules will suit them best. To solve this dilemma, you should reexamine your own area of expertise. What are the needs of your field? What could be improved? How much do you need to know to come out ahead? What skill will give you a competitive edge over your peers? Knowing the answers to these questions will help you to select the right modules.

SAP covers a wide variety of business fields such as administration, programming, warehousing, finance, and distribution. Each area encompasses many aspects in and of itself, so you have to be sure where you fit in best before proceeding.

Having a SAP Certification is like having a direct passport to the business world because there is hardly any other globally recognized credential that carries the same weight. Employers know that those who have earned one have honed their skills by gaining direct experience and have studied rigorously. Their abilities have been demonstrated by acing the demanding and process-oriented examinations full of practical questions that are specific to certain software.

Before going ahead, you have to know more about the three levels of SAP certification. The competitive advantages one gains by completing them are detailed below.

Associate certification: This particular certification covers the basic knowledge one needs to be a SAP consultant, which ensures successful attainment of wide SAP solution information and skills. With this type of certificate one can:

·Gain the highly valued mark of excellence sought by clients.
·Stand out in a crowd.
·Execute tasks skillfully and confidently.
·Have access to a wide community of SAP peers.

Professional certification: This is an advanced certification and requires proven experience on project handling, knowledge about business processes, and also a detailed knowledge of SAP solutions. With this certification one can:

·Demonstrate experience through a meticulous testing process.
·Lead engagements and tasks as well as execute them.
·Have access to a wide community of SAP peers.

Masters certification: This certification demonstrates expert knowledge of specific areas of SAP software and also the prowess to drive improvement and solution optimization with the help of solid understanding and vision. Gaining certification at this level means that one has extensive project experience, thorough project knowledge of SAP, and also the capability to create a future information technology vision inside intricate project environments. On achieving the masters certification, one can:

·Secure a position in an elite group of visionary experts.
·Succeed in a peer-reviewed, all-inclusive admissions process.
·Have the ability to guide and define long-term strategies.

Have the right to involve yourself in master-level conferences, colloquiums, and industrial events.

Who wouldn’t like to become a successful SAP developer? It’s a fantastic job to have that is not only intellectually rewarding but financially rewarding as well. However; bear in mind that you must have a certain level of intelligence and education before you even consider taking the necessary steps to becoming a SAP developer.

Know SAP Products

SAP employs a huge number of consultants that work in conjunction with SAP developers. This is because SAP is a consulting firm that in turn developers and sells the products that the consultants recommend. Of course this would also means that your knowledge of SAP products must be complete.

More Stuff to Know

Also, because SAP consultants serve a wide range of business genres, ranging from all areas of the chemical and petrochemical industries, as well as other industries including all types of manufacturing and wholesaling industries, it does help if you possess some level of expertise in some type of business or industry.

No Place for Wimps

However; you have to bear in mind that SAP developers and consultants work in world filled with ambitious type A personalities, so the stress level can be very high at times. What this means is that if you are not entirely up to the challenge then you may want to reconsider other career options.

Willing to Think Out of the Box

However; the pay and benefits for a good qualified SAP developer are among the best that you will find anywhere, so if you like good money then you will like being a SAP developer. So, if the bad economy has gotten you down, don’t fret because there are still plenty of god job opportunities out there for people who are willing to think out of the box such as SAP developers do.

If you are small of mid-size business, and you are in the corporate ERP and MRP selection process, please read this small publication. We would like you to concentrate on your Business Processes automation requirements in trying to understand which small business accounting package will fit the best for your enterprise

1. Database Platform. There are several reliable and relatively inexpensive SQL oriented DB platforms on the ERP market: MySQL (good option if you are making custom programming in PHP platform), Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Select (also consider Microsoft SQL Server 2008 for Small Business Server 2008) – also you can get scaled down version from Oracle, which is outside of the scope for this paper. SQL compliance is in our opinion critical, and it is not recommended to choose proprietary DB, typically coming together with such accounting applications as MYOB, Peach Tree, Quick Books

2. Words of respect to Linux and other free Operating Systems. We recommend you to review such Linux platforms as Suse, for example, where you can get software free of charge, and where you pay per customer support case only as you go. We would like to keep reservations at this time to recommend ERP selection on Linux, however we encourage you to make your own ERP market discovery

3. SAP Business One. This ERP and MRP application for Small Business comes from SAP and we trust this ERP brand. SB1 is available on Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and with version SAP Business One 2007A it is now pretty reliable and localized for United States: 1099, Sales Tax, Barcode, Warehouse management, Credit Cards Processing, eCommerce module, CRM. SAP Business One SDK allows you to customize user interface as well as Database transactions: EDI, Integrations with legacy systems: Microsoft CRM, Lotus Notes Domino, Oracle

4. Great Plains Dynamics GP. This solution is coming directly from Microsoft Dynamics subdivision. If you are one-person-operations, we would like you to review Microsoft Small Business Accounting – both SAP BO and Dynamics GP would be probably too expensive for you. Current Dynamics GP, belonging and supported by Microsoft Business Solutions had long small business accounting trace: Great Plains Accounting for DOS: 9.2 and 9.5 were the most popular versions, Great Plains Small Business Financials 7.5, 8.0 and 9.0 were dedicated to small business scaled down versions of Microsoft Great Plains. Current trend in SBF is upgrade and migration to Dynamics GP Business Ready

5. MRP. Both SAP Business One and Great Plains Dynamics GP offer discrete Manufacturing and MRP modules. SAP Business One is closer to small business in our opinion, where you can do intuitive Production Module self discovery. Great Plains, however has Bill of Materials module, which could cover small business manufacturing and assembly

6. Great Plains eConnect versus SAP Business One SDK programming. Both SDK packages are targeted to custom ecommerce applications and software developers. We would like to treat them with the same respect and recommend for deployment

7. Corporate ERP reporting. In both cases we recommend you to consider Crystal Reports. In the case when you are tight with the budget, try to consider Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services or SSRS, as this extension is coming free with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or 2000 Standard or Enterprise

8. Legacy accounting data conversion and migration. If you company deployed such proprietary accounting packages as PeachTree, MYOB, QuickBooks, we recommend you to consider printing modules reports and saving them in Text tab or comma delimited files, Excel also is good option

9. ERP for International Business. Even Small Business could be involved in international operations, such as purchasing your merchandise from China, India, Philippines, Brazil, Mexico, Russia. If this is your scenario, please try to make the research of Microsoft Business Solutions ERP products support internationally. At this time Dynamics GP is supported in English Speaking countries, and SAP Business One is localized for major nations: Latin America, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal and Brazil, Israel to name a few

Searching for a SAP Training PDF could be essential to a person who wants to get a job or be promoted because SAP is one of the most popular Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems in various parts of the globe. A good SAP ebook is essential because it provides you with knowledge on how you can assist the company towards larger profit margins. For instance, if you are applying for work, a SAP training PDF could help you show your would-be employer how you can assist in bringing more profits to the business. On the other hand, if you want to get a promotion, your knowledge about SAP might be one of the convincing factors that could make your superior decide in your favor.

The SAP ERP system is a complex solution that allows the use of a single information system for the whole enterprise. A good SAP training PDF has to be suitable to your specific needs. If your job is related to IT, the SAP training ebook that you should have should focus more on the technical details, to ensure that you are knowledgeable on operating the ERP system, how to program it, how to troubleshoot it, and how to explain the system to other employees. If you have or plan to have a management function, your SAP training PDF should provide you with an overview of the whole system and the various applications. There is no need for you to be informed about the technical aspects of the system and its different analytical tools.

SAP is composed of SAP ERP Operations, SAP ERP Financials, SAP ERP Corporate Services, and SAP ERP Human Capital Management. Your sap training pdf should provide you with sufficient information on that specific module that is appropriate for your department. For example, if you are an accountant, you would need more information on SAP ERP Financials. If you are in sales, you would need to know more about SRP ERP Operations. Of course, if you work in the IT department, you SAP training PDF should offer you the technical details of the four components.

Make sure that your provider is reputable, if you search for your SAP training PDF on the Web. Having the proper and correct information on matters such as SAP ERP systems is vital when you want to get a job or a promotion.
